Dear Church Family,
It is hard to believe that it has been nearly four months since I began serving as your pastor. It has certainly been an interesting beginning as for the first
5 weeks I preached to an empty sanctuary followed by a gradual reopening with social distancing and hand sanitizer. What changes we have been going
through! I want to thank each of you for handling all this change with a grace and maturity that I’m sure is pleasing to the Lord.
As you have probably already heard another change is ahead of us. Our governor has mandated that everyone, ages 8 and older, who is in a public
building wear a mask beginning on Monday, July 27. That includes us when we meet together as a church. So after the 27th come to church with your
favorite mask or pick up one when you enter the church that will be provided. (If there are reasons you cannot wear a mask please don’t stay
away – we still want you to come!)
We all long for the day when things return to normal but until then let us determine to continue to fix our eyes on Jesus!
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our
faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the
throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition
from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose
heart.” - Hebrews 12:2-3
In Christ’s Love,
Pastor Bruce
